Grand Traverse Analytical is located in Traverse City.  Kirk Chase and Mike Riebschleger opened GTA in 2002 with a simple idea to offer fast, reliable, affordable, and independent analytical testing. We are not associated with any other company or government entity other than Michigan Drinking Water DEQ Certification. If you become a high volume client, results are posted on our web site (requires a username and password) for historical searching and for those that did not get an email attachment.

We also provide:

• Most sample bottles no charge, unless taking to another lab, Methanol kits are $10/each
• Chain of Custody – COC’s can be downloaded/printed below
• On-line Data Reporting – requires a high volume of samples. When its determined you qualify for on-line reporting you will be provided with a password.
• General information regarding drinking water remediation either be cleaning your well water from bacteria contamination or referrals to those that can help.

Environmental samples:

Effective Oct 30, 2025 posting of reports to here MAY be delayed, way to many reports!

No issues as of Oct 30, 2025, but we are experiancing very large sample volumns, expect delays.

RUSH ANALYSIS, IF POSSIBLE,  MUST BE PRE-APPROVED!

Brine analysis (EPA-UIC) turn around time is currently 45-50 days. Any RUSH needed that is less than this will be $ X 10.

Drinking water samples:

Effective Sep 1 2025 only the first BACTERIA retest is no charge. We DO NOT accept any samples on Saturday/Sunday. We are currently experiancing very large sample volumns, expect delays. Additional drinking water information is on the contact us page.
